Ray then discussed his time as Head Statistician of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers which was highlighted by being the Head Statistician for the 1984 Super Bowl which was held in Tampa. Ray is a member of the Suncoast Football League which has been in existence for 40 plus years. He was hooked! Ray said he plays baseball and football equally although most think of him as a football guy. He then purchased baseball followed by football for a Christmas gift. When Ray returned home he opened the box to a golf game and several full color brochures including football and baseball. Ray began by starting with his introduction to APBA which occurred through the purchase of an APBA Golf Game at a rummage sale for $0.50.
